Tetù (Sicilian Chocolate Spice Cookies)

Here's what you'll need:

– 2 cups all-purpose flour – 3/4 cup sugar – 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa    powder – 1 tsp cinnamon – 1/2 tsp cloves – 1/4 tsp nutmeg – 1 1/2 tsp baking powder – pinch of salt – 1/4 cup plus 3 tbsp    unsalted butter  – 1/2 cup walnuts, finely    chopped – zest of 1 orange – 1 large egg – 1/2 cup milk For the glaze – 1/2 cup powdered sugar – 3 tsp milk

-Sift together the dry ingredients in a large bowl. -Add cubed butter and use your fingers or a pastry cutter to cut the butter into the flour. -Stir in finely chopped walnuts and orange zest.

Scoop dough using a cookie scoop for even sizing and roll into a ball. Place on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray or parchment paper.

Dredge in egg wash and roll in breadcrumbs.

Bake in a preheated 350 degrees F oven for 18-20 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool while you prepare the glaze.
